This a recipe I found at: haverhillbeefdotcom/RPdelmonicosteakpanseared This is posted for the Culinary Quest 2016. I adapted it, to be less in fat and increased flavor by grilling versus pan searing with oil. This recipe is very basic, just seasoned with salt and pepper, then grilled and then served with a basic herb butter, very similar to the famous "Delmonico's" Steak.
This is how I have been grilling my steak for years and this always turns out perfectly cooked for us. The outside has a light crunch and the center is so juicy and flavorful. Serve this up with your favorite side and a nice glass of wine and you will have the most amazing meal. The prep time includes the marinating time.
The longer you marinate it, the better! The marinating time is not included in the cook time.
This "Best of Beef" recipe won the $25,000 grand prize in the 1997 National Beef Cook-Off for Chris Freymuller of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Butter mixed with hot pepper, garlic and herbs transforms this steak. The mixture soaks into the cooked meat, making it that much more delicious as the buttery goodness melts with the natural beef juices that pool on the plate. YUM! Source: Serious Barbecue
This is by far my favorite recipe for ribs. I have smoked them, made them without sauce, in the crock pot; spicy, sweet and just about every way I can think of; but I always come back to this recipe. They fall off the bone, and the sauce is just perfect. But ... when it comes to BBQ sauce - I always say - use your favorite recipe, whether it be from a bottle or you make it yourself. These ribs...
This my favourite way to cook ribs, they always turn out so good. The meat just falls off the bone. If gluten intolerant make sure you are using gluten free beer and BBQ sauce.
Lots of cooking time in the oven but well worth it. Then grill with your favorite bbq sauce.
This recipe comes originally from "Meat Lover's Cookbook" by Sarlin and Porter. There have been some minor changes. It is a very popular recipe and is no fail. Moist, juicy meat loaded with flavor. I like "Diana Original" BBQ sauce for this recipe. This recipe is great served with broad noodles and a green salad
Pork tenderloin "ribs" with zesty lemon-rosemary barbecue sauce. Recipe from Janet & Greta Podleski. I have made these as directed and then next time switched some of the ingredients up a wee bit, which I have put in brackets. I put the spice rub on in the morning and grill them off at dinner.
Guava jelly imparts a unique sweetness and pungency to the bbq sauce that says Cuban to these ribs. The ribs are braised to bring out the meats tenderness and at the same time renders off additional fat. Note that the marinating time is not included in the prep. time. Source: Our Latin Table
As elegant as the title of this recipe is, this burger will surely please your palette. Served with a cold brew or nice glass of shiraz, this recipe screams summer.
For my Jimbo who loves teriyaki and grilling lol Leave off the pineapple if you wish
This grilled chicken thigh burger is a delicious and savory meal. It starts with marinating chicken thighs in a seasoned brine, then coating them with your favorite mustard. Then you grill them until cooked through, add them to a toasted bun and top as desired. These turn out so tender and juicy, I bet these will become your favorite chicken burgers! The prep time listed is the marinating time.

This makes a delicious large burger from bbc
Reduce calories and add nutrition by blending ground beef with earthy mushrooms. From Greta. Finish burger with your favvy toppings. The cook time does not reflect the 1 hour refrigeration time.
Great recipe for a weeknight. Ready in no time and all in one pan!
A quick, easy and tasty salmon recipe I really enjoy. I use mild curry powder in this recipe but you can use spicy curry if you like heat.
This is out of my Hot & Spicy cookbook...spiced butters offer instant flavor for grilled salmon. This jalapeno-cilantro version is equally good on grilled meats...
The mayo is the secret to this recipe it’s what locks in all the moisture in the fish, you can also use large thick salmon fillets in place of the steaks but I advise to leave the skin on for the best flavor, I prefer to use Atlantic salmon fillets but any salmon will do fine, these also may be made on the grill placed in a disposable foil pan and amounts may be doubled
This is out of a Costco magazine...Cooking time does not include marinating time...
This is a recipe I found off another food site that I adjusted to our liking...this makes a great side dish...or you can serve these as an appetizer, by cutting the halves in half again...
A friend of mine made these for us for dinner a while back...she finally gave me the recipe...these make a perfect side dish...and are company worthy...she didn't really give me any measurement except for the amount of potatoes.
I came up with this recipe when I had leftover baked potatoes I wanted to use. They turned out so good I make them regularly now. I have written this recipe from scratch, but if you are using leftover potatoes, just make sure you use well reheated potatoes.

"This is out of one of my old weight watchers cookbooks back in 2000. Called "Just like Home". It was one of my favorite dishes to make. It was 5 points on the old program. Save the leftovers to make #recipe21550 .
My absolute favorite comfort recipe! Creamy and very cheesy mac and cheese! Taken from Southern Living magazine.
If you are a Velveeta fan, this is great. I use low-glycemic Dreamfield's pasta in this but whole wheat macaroni is also healthier.
Adapted from Prairie Home Cooking. This is the way my Mother used to make macaroni and cheese. The pasta measurement is the measurement for the dried pasta. I like this with cavatappi instead of elbows.
You'll love the rich flavour loaded with real cheese and oven baked. While stirring the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce, try adding sliced bite-size pieces of cooked vegetables, hot dogs or cooked sausage.
Macaroni Pie is a staple here in Trinidad and one of the first dishes I learnt to make. Eat it on it's own with ketchup and pepper or serve alongside any type of meat, veggie or bean dish which has lots of gravy. Totally delicious! Some people even add in some grated carrots or chopped pimentos before baking. I like mine plain with lots of black pepper.
My father was an avid hunter and we always had a freezer full of wild meat, mostly venison and moose. My husband who is also was an avid hunter is not fond of the taste of venison. Because of this, I had to try and develop recipes to hide the wild taste of venison and this is one he thoroughly enjoyed. The drippings make great tasting gravy to drizzle over mashed potatoes which I serve this with....
This perfectly seasoned roast is a favourite Sunday dinner here. We serve it up with mashed potatoes to drizzle the juices over.
Before you think about making a prime rib roast invest in a good meat thermometor as the internal temperature not the time is your best guarantee for desired donensss, use nothing else but only fresh garlic a little salt and lots of fresh ground black pepper for this or you could use 1 teaspoon garlic salt using any other spices will take away the flavor nothing else is needed, cooking on very...
This is perfect for those who like their beef well done. It turns out very moist and delicious.
Fabulous pot roast, the roast stays together so it is easily sliced but tender too, delicious gravy !!
This recipe was originally posted to another site in 2010. I had some leftover Italian Sausage pasta sauce and decided to create what I think turned out to be a pretty good pizza. Now, the flavor of the pizza will be based on whatever sauce you use. But, isn't that part of the fun of cooking ? Coming up with different tastes. Now if you would rather use a homemade crust please feel free to do...
This is our family's favorite homemade pizza. I've made it many times through the years. I've found that using store bought barbecue sauce gives it a "good" rating, but what brings it to a heightened level is with the use of "Chipotles in Adobo BBQ Sauce..Ohhh It's Good!" which I've posted here on this site #recipe22562 When I make this pizza I usually double the recipe...
My take on a similar flatbread recipe (from plainchickendotcom) but with fig preserves instead of honey. I use whole wheat pizza dough for the flatbread.
Many would argue that the best Sicilian-style square pizza was perfected in New York City and some would also argue that it was invented there and that it is the best in the whole world. My husband who salivates and seems to always have a hankering for Sicilian-style would agree with New Yorkers and he's not from there. The recipe given here has been tested in the food lab (seriouseats)...
From Recipe+ Mini Munchies feature. I love doing mini pizza as it is one way I can get vegies into my vegie hating DM and also a good way to use up bits and pieces. Personally I prefer to cook my pizzas on a rack so the air can circulate all around them and I find I get a crispier result. NOTE - HAVE NOT allowed for 1 hour marination time in the times.
This is out of my Bisquick cookbook. It's an All Time Favorite. It says for a dynamite, down-home meal, serve this crispy chicken with biscuits, steamed veggies and a spoonful of barbecue sauce on the side. As good as fried, this easy oven-baked chicken Bisquick recipe is delicious! Use wings, thighs, legs or boneless. We added a video to make learning the recipe fun and easy.
From SparksRecipes. I haven't tryed this yet but there are some great reviews on it.
I found the original recipe posted on the "net" by Jennifer Segal who has a blog called " Once Upon A Chef ". As I was reading the recipe, I felt it called for too much oil and it didn't have enough seasonings in the breading. And the original recipe used chicken tenders, but I prefer chicken breasts cut into strips. So a few changes were made to mine and my SO's personal preferences. I...
A staple in Hawaii. Made with Japanese sweet rice Mochiko flour makes a super crunchy and slightly sweet fried chicken.
This chicken recipe offers just a bit of heat, but it is not short on flavour!! The combination of the Frank’s RedHot sauce with the panko and Parmesan breading make these drumsticks sinfully delicious!! The coating is nice and crispy and the inside is so tender and juicy. Keep in mind that there is a 2 hour sit time for the brine so make sure you set enough time aside for this step. If...
Blasting with high heat will shrink the skin and seal in all the juices to create an extremely moist tender chicken with lovely crispy skin, and will be on your table in about an hour, this method will also work with a larger size chicken but cooking time will need to be increased, all seasoning may be adjust to taste
This roasted chicken is one of our favourites. The skin is nice and crispy with unctuous fat that keeps the chicken moist and tender and oh so delicious!! This does take time as the chicken will sit in the brine for 4 hours, so plan ahead and Enjoy!
Based upon a recipe found in America's Test Kitchen cookbook.
I keep coming back to this recipe. McCormicks rotisserie seasoning is the best one to use. This recipe produces a chicken with crispy skin and moist meat. Timing depends upon how big a chicken you use.
I love the smell of chicken roasting in the oven. It makes me think of holidays and family gatherings! Plus I can put it in the oven and concentrate on other things for a while....just enjoying the smell! Don't use a fryer...roasting chickens are a bit larger and have a higher fat content, making them more flavorful.
You can use different type of potatoes with this recipe. I have used fingerlings cut in half and mini roasting potatoes and those worked well also. If using the mini roasting potatoes, poke them with a fork a couple of time to allow for the flavours to penetrate. This is so easy and very tasty.
So, my husband is not a fan of baked potatoes, I dearly love them. This recipe was an attempt to please both of us and it absolutely worked. Love these taters, we typically serve these whenever we grill steaks. These taters are low in fat, although you can use full fat sour cream for the dipping sauce if desired.
Delicious crispy on the outside, soft on the inside fries, that you will love and make often. You can cut them in the dimensions in the recipe or make thicker "steak fries" and just cook them longer when frying the second time, until they are golden brown.
Garlicky and savory.
I make these "fries" quite often. Since they use so little fat they're a lot healthier than the traditional deep fried version. This recipe was found in Company's Coming Vegetables. Note: The prep time includes 30 minute cold water soak.
This is from the Metropolitan Market...it's a wonderful upscale grocery store in the Puget Sound area...this is great for a gathering on game day...
From an Asian cookbook and I had made a note that we had enjoyed though I had done some modifications to the original recipe.
The wings are steamed, dried and chilled 1 hour before continuing with the recipe. This ensures a less fatty and juicy wing.
This is a super easy, quick and tasty chicken wing recipe, perfect for game night. For those of you who don't have access to Frank's RedHot Sauce, I do have a copycat recipe for it #recipe13676 .
I tried these at a friend's house and really enjoyed them. They were gone in no time. She got the recipe from the internet, but i don't know where. I have adjusted it just a bit.
A wonderful smoked pork loin that would make any father proud. This is my original recipe created on 6/14/2014. Be sure to not let your smoker drop below 200°F during the smoking process. I used a vertical water smoker for this recipe but any type smoker should suffice. Remember when smoking the temp is more important then the time!
A great side to BBQ chicken or wings or ribs. Do not use regular potatoes for this recipe as they break apart. Use a firm baby potato or fingerling potato. For those of you who don't have access to Frank's RedHot Sauce, I do have a copycat recipe for it #recipe13676 .
This is a mix of two recipes: Funghi Trifolati and Nana's Mushrooms Fantastic over steaks.
This is really different from the usual corn on the cob and is great if you are grilling Asian marinated meats. Spicy! Can be grilled outdoors or cooked indoors on the stovetop.
This is a great way to enjoy corn on the cob. I opened the refrigerator door this morning and saw the cobs of corn sitting on top of a package of bacon and thought, mmmmm those two would definitely go good together and yup I was right. Bacon does make anything better ;) Serves 1 as a meal or 2 as a side.
