"You'll love the rich flavour loaded with real cheese and oven baked. While stirring the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce, try adding sliced bite-size pieces of cooked vegetables, hot dogs or cooked sausage."

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 F. Cook macaroni as directed on package (I only cook it to about halway otherwise it gets to soft in the oven).

Step 2

While macaroni is cooking, melt butter in 3 or 4-quart saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, mustard and Worcestershire sauce and cayenne pepper; cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk, heat to boiling, stirring constanly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in cheese. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted.

Step 3

Drain macaroni. Gently stir macaroni into cheese sauce. Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole. Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.

This recipe was made on 7/31,as part of our dinner. Except for reducing the recipe by half, the recipe was made exactly as it was written. My SO really liked this, but I felt it was a bit on the oily side.Maybe it was the type of cheese I used. But if my SO liked it, I'm more than willing to give it 4 *'s. Thanks for posting, and " Keep Smiling :) "

Let's start by saying you were right, we do love it! It is rich and creamy and has a little spicy from the cayenne. We liked it so much we are having the leftovers again today!
