Chop suey is basically a meat and vegetable stir fry recipe with a thickened sauce. It is one of my favourite Chinese foods. This recipe is easy to put together and one my family requests quite often. If gluten intolerant make sure you are using gluten free soy sauce.
This recipe is delicious and so easy to put together when you don't want to spend a lot of time cooking in the kitchen.
"This is out of one of my Weight Watchers cookbooks called "Take-Out Tonight!" Both DH and I really liked this dish. You can use 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 sea scallops if you prefer. You can also replace the asparagus with broccoli florets or fresh snow peas. This had 5 points on the old program."
Excellent buffet dish or for a light company supper with a green salad and rolls.
Shrimp and scallop meal that is quite interesting and some-what elegant with a simple cooking method.
Justin Wilson's recipe, which irreverently, contains no celery. So much for the trinity theory. It's the mint that makes the dish.
A wonderful wine cream sauce that dresses up delectable garlic shrimp to make this quick pasta dish. For easier preparation buy shrimp that have back and the vein removed.
From The Australian Women's Weekly After Work Fast. Times are estimates, though HAVE NOT allowed for peeling of prawns.
This is out of the 2004 edition of KCTS Chef's cookbook. It was sent in by Antonio Mauro the executive chef from Anton's Pasta Bar in Burnaby BC. The original recipe called for 20 oz of pasta for 2 servings. No wonder the portions are so big at restaurants. I changed it to 8 oz and decreased the half-half also to 8 oz. it was 18 oz.
NOTE: It is suggested to serve this on a bed of cooked spaghetti. Prawns are a favourite in Australia, and the addition of fresh chilli gives this prawn dish a wonderful spicy flavour. This recipe comes from a very old Australian cookbook that was given to me many years ago.
This is a sweet sauce for those who like a sweet stir fry. Shrimp is used in this because it's our fav with stir-fries.
The succulence of the shrimp is unmatched in this dish. A perfect balance between flavors and textures, it's hard to imagine anything better than Emeril’s Shrimp Parmigiana!
This food truck can be found in the North Shore of Oahu. The garlic shrimp is famous! They serve it shell on, but I find I get more sauce on the shrimp if I cook it peeled and deveined. Prep time does not include peeling and deveining....I usually buy mine already peeled and deveined at the fish market.
These are delicious skewers I make in the winter time when the BBQ is covered in snow. These are just as good as grilled skewers, if not better. the prep time listed does not include the marinating time.
