There is something about this time of year that gets my head swimming. The official season of Spring that brings forth warmer and longer days, fresh flowers and the smell of things new. Then the proverbial dump of unexpected snow that reminds me that old man winter does not want to let go. If you live in such climates, that is. The wonder and beauty of recipes is that people can mix and match ingredients to their heart's content and that's how great food dishes are created. Take this turkey stir fry for example. Throw in some vermicelli noodles, other ingredients like snap peas, carrots and bean sprouts and you have a recipe that is over the top - worthy of our favourite cuisines found in cramped restaurant spaces with wonderful aromas. Add some spring rolls and you have, well, an amazing Vietnamese style recipe. Photos by: Queenbea
I was so, so, so very excited to see the sun, the rain, the washing away of snow and the breakthrough of seeing grass that I got my patio set out on the deck, bistro furniture on the porch and even dug up a shrub that I wanted gone from the front of our house. Then it came back. Snow. Lots of it. Yuck. I just think of the poor wild turkeys and other birds that have made their appearance be known. Speaking of turkeys.... this is a great turkey stir fry to make on a cold night. Grab some cabbage, onions, oil and your favorite spices and let's get cooking! When Zazz member Queenbea said that this is a low-fat recipe that she really enjoys because it is quick and easy to put together, she is not kidding! The ingredients are simple and it would seem all too easy, but aren't those the best kind of recipes anyway? Seriously, stir fry's are supposed to be quick and easy and this is no exception. Now, if just winter would get out of here! Grab this Turkey and Cabbage Stir-Fry recipe because it is absolutely simple, delicious and was a pleasure to prepare, cook and of course, eat! I loved it!!!
