I am a collector of historical recipes and practices, I use to be an historical interpreter ( re-enactor ) of the 18th century ( 1700's ). In the last few years health issues have prevented me from pursuing my passion.
I also used to create and cook gourmet foods, that has now been seriously limited, a knife in my hands could end up with lots of my blood being on the counter due to excessive tremors.
I am happy to have found this site ( seems I did once before since I am registered as Shadows also ) . I will contribute recipes and reviews and just plain old chat with you.

I like honesty in reviews, I don't blow smoke just to be nice. I expect the same from those of you that review my recipes, I won't be hurt by bad reviews after all eveyone's tastes are different. I don't claim to eat healthy, I eat what I like, moderation is the key.

I am looking forward to making friends and trying some different recipes.

Please try and review my recipes... I can take constructive and subjective reviews... negetive comments help improve...after all that is what this is all about!

Favorite Foods
meat, wild game, rich and spicy, original foods from unknown cooks.

Anything cooked over an open fire.

My cookbooks here reflect my interest in other's recipes as well as my own. They are a collection of tried and want to try foods that have appeal to us.

NOTE: I do not pretend to eat healthy... I eat what I like... moderation is the key!
