Hot Cheddar Eggs

Very simple but very tasty. We loved this recipe. I used Thai Chili Sauce over the eggs..

  Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon butter (optional - can use a couple shots of pan-spray instead)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Coarse sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • Hot sauce, to taste

  How to Make
 
 

Step 1

With an immersion blender, combine eggs and water until smooth and pale yellow.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick skillet to medium. Add butter if using or spray!

Step 3

Pour in eggs, gently stir until bottom is cooked but not browned. Tops will look shiny.

Step 4

Sprinkle cheese on top. Turn off heat. Cover pan. Let sit for a couple minutes until cheese is melted.

Step 5

Sprinkle with salt, pepper and hot sauce to serve.

We enjoyed this for breakfast a couple of days ago before we headed out of town for a big family Christmas get together. Added plenty of hot sauce and also had a side of spicy conecuh sausage. Perfection. Made for your win in Football pool.

Perfect eggs for a quick breakfast morn. I had never ran my eggs in a blender, but they came out with a perfect consistency. The hot sauce and cheddar just brought all together. Love this type of food. Thank you Linky for sharing.
