Step 1

Heat the toil in a large ovenproof frying pan over medium heat and add the onion and cook, stirring for 3 minutes or until softened and then add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally. for 5 minutes or until meatballs are browned all over.

Step 2

Add the passata and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and then remove from heat and stir in the spinach and arrange the mozzarella over the passata mixture,

Step 3

Preheat the grill /broiler on high and place the frying pan under grill/broiler and cook for 3 minutes or until the mozzarella melts and is golden brown.

No special items needed.



This worked out very well for us served over pasta. I used marinara sauce for he passata and the mozzarella I used with pre-shredded but otherwise followed the instructions as written for a very enjoyable dinner. Thanks for sharing!
