Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 brown onion (finely sliced)
  • 560 grams meatballs (Beef and Pork Meatball)
  • 500 grams passata ( Italian passata, 2 cups)
  • 60 grams baby spinach
  • 150 grams mozzarella cheese (thickly sliced)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the toil in a large ovenproof frying pan over medium heat and add the onion and cook, stirring for 3 minutes or until softened and then add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally. for 5 minutes or until meatballs are browned all over.

  • Step 2: Add the passata and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and then remove from heat and stir in the spinach and arrange the mozzarella over the passata mixture,

  • Step 3: Preheat the grill /broiler on high and place the frying pan under grill/broiler and cook for 3 minutes or until the mozzarella melts and is golden brown.
