Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix together 1/4 cup each vegetable oil, soy sauce and lemon juice, the garlic powder and wings in a Ziploc bag and marinate for 4 to 6 hours.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon lemon juice; set aside.

Step 4

Place wings on a foil lined rimmed baking sheet that has been coated with vegetable oil.

Step 5

Brush wings with oil mixture.

Step 6

Bake for 10 minutes.

Step 7

Turn wings over and add more oil if needed (so wings don’t stick); cook for another 10 minutes or until cooked through, depending on size of wings.

Step 8

Sprinkle with lemon pepper and serve with lemon wedges to squeeze over cooked wings.

These wings really do have a nice lemon flavor...I going to do two things different next time...I'm replacing the foil with parchment paper...the wings stuck to the foil even with coating it with oil...and because we enjoy our wings a bit on the crisp side I'm planning to zap them under the broiler for a few minutes...Made for "Bill Board" tag game...

Due to a change of plans instead of doing just wings I quartered a whole chicken and cooked a 1/2 breast, the 2 drum and thighs kept intact and the 2 wings keeping them whole and allowed 1 hour to cook the lot and the end result was delicious moist chicken. Thank you QueenBea, made for For Your Consideration tag game on FF&F.

What a super tasty recipe. I only baked 4 half wings and adjusted the recipe accordinly. I sure wish I had doubled what I made because they are so good!. Another delicious recipe from QueenBea Thanks
