Step 1

Place the tomato slices on an oven proof dish or tray.

Step 2

Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Step 3

Place 2 basil leaves on each slice.

Step 4

Cover with the cheese slice, add 2 drops hot sauce.

Step 5

Broil until the cheese melts approximately 10 minutes. Serve.

Derf "RIP" Forever in our Kitchen

I was looking for something for a nice light lunch, these fit the bill and mmm they were delicious. I used light mozzarella cheese and cus my basil plant was getting sparse i just used one basil leaf on each of 6 slices. I used Tobasco Chipotle sauce for the hot sauce drops, mmm mmm good, these will be on my list when i get a craving for Caprese!!
