"This is an attractive tasty way to serve squash. It is especially lovely on your holiday table. The cook time of one hour depends on the size of your squash, it may take a bit longer or if they are quite smalla bit less. If you prefer make this recipe as a casserole - cube your raw squash into 1 inch cubes place in an oven proof dish add apples & cranberries. Cover and bake in 400 oven for 45 minutes.Add butter just before serving"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cut a thin slice from the botton of each squash so they will sit level
Step 2
Place the squash on an oven proof dish or tray, cavity side up
Step 3
Mix together the butter, cinnamon and nutmeg and place a tablespoon in each cavity
Step 4
Distribute the cranberries and apples between the four squash.
Step 5
Cover the squash with foil, bake in 375f oven for 50 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until the squash are tender approximately 10 more minutes
Step 6
Give the apples and cranberries a small stir so they are mixed together and make a nice presentation. Serve hot
