"Shaved brussels sprouts are a new line from a local grocery chain but you can easily make them yourself, just chop sprouts until the look like slaw. I used Chicken bacon but regular bacon will give more flavour. The sprouts have an interesting flavor from the bacon and balsamic vinegar. This recipe is from Save-On Foods"

The flavors here are off the charts. One of the best Brussels recipes I've made; chock full of goodies. I have done the shaving in the food processor before, but it sure is nice this time of year when you can get them preshredded at Trader Joe's. I love sauteed shaved Brussels sprouts. I never cover them though, just stir fry on medium high til browning. The bacon and balsamic really make this special. I used a little less bacon, but I think you could even get away with using half of it. We are big veggie eaters, so the two of us easily finished this as our veggie side with dinner. So yummy!

Very tasty side dish, very flavourful with the bacan, balsamic vinegar and parmesan cheese. Easy to put together, the hardest part was getting the sprouts ready! The almonds were a lovely finish. thanks for posting, i will be making it again.
