Step 1

Add the rice to the stock add spices. Cook cover on low for 20 minutes. The last 5 minutes add in peas.

Step 2

Meanwhile in skillet, saute onions and mushrooms on low heat. Add the cooked rice mixture to skillet and toss around.

So easy, so good. I happen to love my rice cooker and admittedly that is what I used to make this delicious rice dish. Made for perfectly cooked rice. Everyone in the family right down to the preschooler love rice so this one has gone into my favorites cookbook. I am sure this would also be great using chicken broth!

Tasty rice, and very easy. Great side for a flank steak.

I made this as posted except for the cayenne. I left that out because I had my grandchildren here for supper. I also added garlic and sauteed them with the mushrooms and onions. Delicious rice!
