Add orzo and rice; cook 4-6 minutes longer or until lightly browned.

Step 3

Stir in broth and water.

Step 4

Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. (Add more water as needed if rice and pasta are not done before liquid is absorbed).

This is really good even before adding the basil and parsley. I put the white parts of the green onions in after it had cooked about 7 minutes. Then added everything else as directed. Great side!

Delicious, what a great lunch this made. It was quick and easy to make with excellent results. Great flavor and textures. I loved it. I can't wait to make this for the hubby. He is going to love it also. Happily made for Players Favorites - 5 Star Gems.

excellent! The only change I made was to add a saute'd shallot. Thanks for sharing

Fabulous recipe. I followed the recipe except for cooking the onions for a couple of minutes in the rice before adding the other herbs, and using a sweet beer instead of broth. Would go with just about anything!

This recipe makes for a great side. We enjoyed it with our fish. I added extra garlic because I'm a garlic lover and love the taste of the addition of the last minute herbs as it enhances this dish. Thank you Mikekey for sharing.
