Step 1

Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil, drop in the sprout,cook 6 minutes

Step 2

Drain plunge into cold water to stop the cooking, drain

Step 3

Melt the butter in a skillet, medium heat, add sprouts, stir well to coat the sprouts cook over medium heat for 6 minutes shaking the pan

Step 4

Season with salt and pepper, add lemon juice and parsley, toss and serve

Love, Love, Loved this recipe. What more can I say! Lovely fresh flavors which all blend together so well. I followed the recipe as written and served with a small dollop of butter over the top. YUMMO! Straight to the recipe book with this one!

This one is going into my best of the year cookbook! The browning is what so makes this. I used the microwave for step 1 (3.5 minutes) and then went straight to step 3, probably cooking them a little longer, til most sides were nice and brown. It gave them such a great flavor! I made half a recipe for the two of us. YUM.

Derf "RIP" Forever in our Kitchen

Oh wow these are Brussels sprouts from heaven, quite luscious !! We loved them and they will be our special occasion sprouts, mmm butter and lemon, great combination!! I cut mine in half to sop up all that lusciousness !!!
