Step 1

Simmer pastrami in broth until hot.

Step 2

Divide meat among bread, using 4 ounces for smaller sandwich, and 8 ounces for large.

Step 3

Add cheese, mustard, pickles, and onions to taste.

Step 4

Spread bread with soft butter and grill sandwich until toasty and crisp if desired.

Step 5

Serve warm.

I found this to be very salty with the pickle, meat and beef broth. Next time I will use sodium free broth and leave out the pickle and see if that makes a difference. It was good otherwise and I will make it again with those changes. Thank you for sharing it with us Sue. I always baked my pastrami until now!
