Step 1

In a skillet over medium het cook the bacon until crisp; transfer to paper towels . Pour fat off from skillet but reserve skillet.

Step 2

In a bowl mash the mayonnaise and blue cheese together; season with pepper. Place bread on a work surface. Divide cheese mixture among bread slices, spreading evenly. Divide bacon, radicchio and turkey between two bread slices. Top with remaining bread, cheese side down. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in reserved skillet over medium heat. Place sandwiches in skillet. Spread t teaspoons butter on top of pieces of bread. Cover with led that is slightly smaller than skillet. Cook sandwiches until lightly browned (4 minutes per side).

I wish my slices of bread were bigger!! I made the sandwiches in a Panini press and they were melty and delicious! PS I had mixed greens that included radicchio and honey turkey which looks like ham in the picture.

TwisSis RIP Forever in our Kitchen

Made for the Billboard Tag Game, this sandwich has a very tasty combo of flavors. My DH made 1 chg for me at the store when he didn't like the look of the radicchio & got head lettuce instead. While not classic for a grilled cheese, it worked fine. My pic doesn't show the cheese well, but it's what really boosts this sandwich up my ladder of personal faves. Thx for sharing this recipe w/us. :-)
