Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large bowl mix the chicken and next 8 ingredients (chicken - pepper) together.

Step 2

*Feeling lazy, so shredded the cheese in the food processor along with the onion and garlic.

Step 3

Make patties and then refrigerate until ready to grill.

Step 4

Thought I would save time by tossing the rest of the cheese into the food processor using the slicing disk -- the cheese was totally shredded - so what I did is below.

Step 5

Recipe said to brush patties with oil (skipped that part) and just grilled the patties in a grill pan on the top of the stove, cooking about 10 minutes and then put the shredded cheese over all the patties -- you are supposed to place a piece of sliced cheese on top of each patti. The way I did it worked, but the other way would probably work better and seem more like a cheeseburger.

Step 6

Place patties on buns and serve with favorite condiments (catsup, relish, pickles, etc.)

Tips

  • Or use a grill pan on a stovetop.

This was a wonderful change from ground beef I must say I've never added spinach and mozzarella cheese and balsamic vinegar to a burger (beef or turkey) I'm now a fan, you sold me for sure, these were very very tasty chicken burgers. Due to the weather I cooked these on an indoor grill I can't wait to make them on an outdoor grill, thanks for this delicious recipe, I'm glad I picked this for the Recipezazz Billboard tag game in the games forum. Thanks ellie

A good mixture making for great tasting chicken patties. Great in a mini bun, great served as low carb between crisp lettuce and just as good served over mixed greens - along with the suggested condiment offerings. Repeats for this one!

Really good! My patties did stick to the grill. I oiled the patty and then I sprayed the grill with Pam but still. Not a big deal.
