Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place two ounces cheese between 2 slices of bread to make 2 sandwiches

Step 2

Press the edges of the sandwiches to seal them

Whisk th egg, milk & vanilla together

Pour the egg mixture into a pie plate

Dip the sandwiches, i at a time, in the egg mixture, turning to evenly moisten both sides of each sandwich

Melt marg/butter in a large skillet over medium heat

Step 7

Add sandwiches, cook 2 1/2 - 3 minutes each side or until the cheese is meltd and the sandwiches are golden

Step 8

Serve topped with a tablespoon each of the maple syrup
