Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine egg and milk and season with salt and pepper and whisk to well combined.

Step 2

Heat up a small frypan/skillet over medium heat with oil and then pour in egg mixture and slowly bring in the setting mixture from the outer part to the inner and then swirl to get the egg from the centre to the outer.

Step 3

When egg is almost set sprinkle cheese on one half and then top with the spinach, one the spinach has wilted fold over the other half of the egg mixture to top the spinach and slide onto a plate and enjoy.

I make this basic recipe almost 3 times a week as my breakfast before work, but as scrambled eggs. We added bacon pieces and even though my son says he will not eat cooked spinach, he loved it. He thinks omelettes are fancy! Delicious!!

Unpretentious, simple, and tasty - pretty much describes this omelette. In addition to the spinach I also added a bit of arugula that I had on hand. Our Sunday breakfast was enjoyable due to your omelette Pat! Thank you for sharing!

Nice recipe. I never thought of using raw spinach in an omelette. It did wilt to perfection. I did add a little of hot pepper flakes.

Spinach is so delicious with eggs and this recipe proves it! Very easy and very tasty. I used 3 cheese Tex Mex shredded. Served with a bit of BBQ sauce. It will be made again. 17 Nov 19 . Once again I Loved it
