Step 1

In large bowl, whisk together apricot preserves, whisky/bourbon, lime juice, soy sauce and sriracha (if using) until smooth and combine. Transfer 1/4 cup to small bowl and set aside.

Step 2

To sauce in large bowl, add chicken wings, then toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to 4 hours.

Step 3

Heat grill to low. Place wings, bone side down on grill and grill, covered, 10 minutes. Flip and continue grilling until cooked through, 10 to 15 minutes more. Toss with reserved sauce and serve sprinkled with chopped cilantro or scallions.

These are so good! I changed the recipe a little using pineapple preserves (could not find apricot preserves) and topped with green onions. Next time I will use it with the correct preserves but these were definitely a hit in our house. Thanks for sharing!

We enjoyed these and loved the apricot element in these. I also decided to use the marinade to have more sauce, therefore cooked it over the stove until it cooked down a bit. Next time, I will marinate a little longer to penetrate more of the flavors throughout. Thanks, Teresa, for sharing!
