Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat olive oil on high in a frypan.

Step 2

Sear mushrooms, add balsamic vinegar, saute about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add soy sauce, salt and pepper, reduce heat to medium; cook down until very little moisture remains; about 30 minutes.

Step 4

Serve beside or over steak.

I made short ribs in the slow cooker and normally I would add the mushrooms too, except I forgot to buy them. So out to the store I went and came back with presliced baby bellas. I made the mushrroms as directed and they were delicious! They went perfectly with the short ribs and mashed potatoes. Made for the Cook-a-thon for Derf.

Great side dish for Sunday Brunch. I cut the recipe in half and had to cut down the cooking time as there wasn't all that much juice and they were beginning to get too brown - they were so tasty. Will do again for sure. Thanks Derf for adding to a delish Sunday Brunch
