Lisa's Grilled Steak Marsala

"I had this steak at my cousin Lisa's house one night, and I had to have the recipe. It is so good! Thought I would share it with you. PLEASE NOTE: Preparation time DOES NOT include 2-24 hour marinating time."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Marinate steak tips in Italian salad dressing for 2-24 hours.

Step 2

In a large teflon skillet add olive oil, then add mushrooms, onions and garlic.

Step 3

Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Step 4

Add marsala wine and let gently boil, until veggies are doine, and the wine is reduced.

Step 5

Grill steaks to your desired doneness, and place on serving plate.

Step 6

Cover with veggies, and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Dinner Tonight: Switched this up a little, and it was delish! I sauteed the Filet Mignon and Mushrooms on the stove instead of the grill, and I thickened the Marsasla marinade (with water and cornstarch) into a Marsala Sauce for the Sauteed Steak, Mushrooms, and Green Beans. I used a Filet Mignon and didn't use any onions this time. I also added 1/2 pkt of Herb Ox chicken granules, garlic and onion powder, and fresh cracked pepper.

Such full flavored steak with the wine and other ingredients. It tasted extra good using charcoal for the grill. The best steaks all summer!

The steak turned out packed full of flavor from the wine and lots of extra flavor from the marinade, which I marinated for about 16 hours. What a great steak it made!

My daughter was telling me how delicious this steak was so I made it this weekend when my family was visiting. I doubled it to make enough for everybody. The onions and steak smelled so good while they were cooking that I had to sneak a bite. I couldn't wait to serve it up so I could get all the compliments coming my way, and they sure did fly! Soon it will be too cold to use my grill, but I will still make it on the stove. It will be just as delicious that way!

This is one great steak. I love anything cooked with Marsala wine and knew I had to give this a try. Boy, am I happy I did. Looks like this is headed to my special recipes file!
