"This is a delightful, tasty, different Breakfast. I like to use a 6"piece of baguette cut in half lengthwise. Any crusty bread or bun will do.I snipped the recipe out of a magazine but can't remember which one. I have posted the recipe for two servings but you may repeat as many times as you wish. Use your favorite white cheese that melts easily."

Step 1

Turn on broiler to pre-heat.

Step 2

Spread the fig jam on the 2 pieces of baguette.

Step 3

Spread the mustard over the jam.

Step 4

Top with the cheese, sliced.

Step 5

Cover the cheese with the apple slices.

Step 6

Grind on some pepper.

Step 7

Place them on an oven proof tray.

Step 8

Place about 6" below heat source.

Step 9

Broil until the cheese has melted.

Step 10

Enjoy.
