Step 1: Turn on broiler to pre-heat.
Step 2: Spread the fig jam on the 2 pieces of baguette.
Step 3: Spread the mustard over the jam.
Step 4: Top with the cheese, sliced.
Step 5: Cover the cheese with the apple slices.
Step 6: Grind on some pepper.
Step 7: Place them on an oven proof tray.
Step 8: Place about 6" below heat source.
Step 9: Broil until the cheese has melted.
Step 10: Enjoy.
