Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 slices bread (6 inch piece of white baguette, cut in half lengthwise)
  • 4 tablespoons fig jam
  • 3 tablespoons coarse grain mustard
  • 4 ounces muenster cheese (or other white cheese)
  • 1 medium apple, (red, unpeeled, cored, cut into slices)
  • Sprinkle of fresh ground pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Turn on broiler to pre-heat.

  • Step 2: Spread the fig jam on the 2 pieces of baguette.

  • Step 3: Spread the mustard over the jam.

  • Step 4: Top with the cheese, sliced.

  • Step 5: Cover the cheese with the apple slices.

  • Step 6: Grind on some pepper.

  • Step 7: Place them on an oven proof tray.

  • Step 8: Place about 6" below heat source.

  • Step 9: Broil until the cheese has melted.

  • Step 10: Enjoy.
