Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a saucepan, saute mushrooms with onions in butter until mushrooms are tender. Add garlic, saute for about 1 minutes or until soft.
Step 2
Add flour, stirring until blended; cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Step 3
Blend in tomato paste and salt; stir in wine and stock until well-blended.
Step 4
Add pepper. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Adjust seasonings if necessary.
