"The teriyaki sauce is only the first step in a marinade that's spicy, gingery, a little hot, a little sweet. An hour's turn, and the chops are ready for the grill."

Step by Step Method
TO MAKE THE MARINADE
Step 1
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl or baking dish large enough to hold the pork chops in a single layer.
Step 2
Add the chops to the marinade, turning to coat well, and marinate for 1 hour at room temperature or longer if storing in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Prepare a medium-hot fire in a grill or preheat a ridged grill pan over medium heat.
Step 4
Remove the pork from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 5
Grill the pork, turning once, until just cooked through, 12 -15 minutes; the internal temperature should reach 150-degrees on an instant-read thermometer.
Step 6
Let the pork rest for 5 minutes before serving.
