Step by Step Method

Step 1

Put all ingredients (except the corn starch and water) in the slow cooker. Cook on low 4 hours until chicken is done.

Step 2

At the end of cooking, whisk corn starch with water until smooth, mix into the slow cooker; cook until thickened.

I scaled back for 1 serve and used a Maryland cut (thigh and drum intact) and when I checked at 3 1/2 hours and picked it up to turn it in the pot it fell apart it was that tender and oh so tasty (I did marinate in the sauce for several hours before starting the cooking process) and I served it over cauliflower rice with lashings of that delicious sauce and some broccoli for a very tasty, enjoyable and satisfying meal.
