Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease large cookie sheet. Cut each chicken wing at joints to make 3 pieces; discard tips. Cut off excess skin; discard. Place chicken in pan. Bake uncovered 15 minutes; turn chicken. Bake uncovered 5 minutes longer.

Step 2

Mix remaining ingredients; brush on chicken. Bake uncovered about 15 minutes longer, brushing once with plum sauce mixture, until juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickens pieces are cut. Discard any remaining plum sauce mixture.

these wings are great. We used apricot preserves instead of the plum sauce but otherwise made as directed for some delicious wings. Thanks for sharing!

I halved the recipe and ate all 6 wings finger licking good and deliciously sweet with that hint of spice. Though I did get a bit lazy with the cooking and dipped the wings in the glazing to coat them and then put them into a foil lined pan and into a 175C oven and baked for 35 minutes and they were pure perfection. Though I did not throw away the tips they went into my bag of wings tips in the freezer to be later used to make chicken stock. Thank you TeresaS made for For Your Consideration tag game at FF&F.
