"A wonderful new recipe found in our daily paper, Teriyaki Chicken using homemade Teriyaki Sauce. I had to agree the only thing better than a delicious chicken teriyaki is a delicious teriyaki chicken that practically cooks itself! This works stove top as well. NOTE,made this last week adding in red and green peppers strips half way through, made for great eye appeal to the Teriyaki Chicken which has become a favourite at our house."

This was a simple dish that produced a wonderful aroma in my kitchen while it was cooking. I used baby carrots and added some bell pepper strips towards the end. It didn't have a stronger teriyaki flavor that I was expecting. But it did make a nice 'stir-fry' type dinner in the crockpot. Thanks for sharing, Gerry.

We really liked this dish. I thought I needed regular rice vinegar, so I didn't have seasoned. It was still tasty. I've always wondered what chicken teriyaki was. I made this for What's on the Menu? on the Food, Friends, and Fun forum.

We really enjoyed this yesterday served with rice and any left overs we did have seemed to have been eaten by the fridge fairies! Everyone loved this ~ It was so simple & easy to prepare and then to sit back & wait for a beautiful meal. I must confess that I left DH to make this whilst I was at work yesterday. I pre made the sauce, covered and placed in the fridge and DH's job was to cut the chicken breast and carrots and then to follow and finish the rest of the recipe. By the time I got home, I opened the cooker and the smell was divine..... but the color was not what I expected.... then I noticed NO CARROTS! DH could not find carrots in the fridge, so didn't bother using them! So I immediately found those elusive carrots that in were in full view when you opened the fridge door! lol Cut them up and microwaved them until nearly tender and chucked them in with everything. I did think of doing that with some capsicum (only because DH hates Capsicum) but I was very grown up about it and forced myself not too.....lol Such a forgiving recipe that if even DH can do....anyone can. This is going to be made again over winter for sure, and it will be even easier now DH know how to make it! ;-)
