Linda's Best Beef Pot Roast In The Crock Pot
Recipe: #10423
August 30, 2013
"This is one of those roasts that will have you licking your plate clean! Yup, it's that delicious! I really like using the sodium free Herb Ox beef bouillon packets, but if you don't want to use them then just go ahead and use water. The 3-5 hour cooking time is approximate as there are so many kinds and sizes and makes of crock pots and some vary quite a bit in heat. Plan on at least 3 hours but it could take longer than times listed, so plan ahead. I serve my roast with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Glazed Carrots, Coleslaw and fresh rolls, but you can change it up how ever you like. Enjoy!"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cover the entire roast with the onion powder, garlic powder and steak seasoning. Do not add any salt!
Step 2
Place roast in crock pot.
Step 3
Add the water to the crock pot, making sure it reaches all the way up the sides of the roast, but not covering the top.
Step 4
Sprinkle the bouillon packets over the water and mix in. Cover.
Step 5
Turn crock pot on low and cook for 3-5 hours, depending on size of roast and crock pot. Allow extra time just in case your crock pot is different than mine. It is done when the roast falls apart when you try to lift it with a fork.
Step 6
You can make gravy from the juices.
