Step by Step Method

Step 1

Boil sausages in water for 5 minutes to get rid of some fat.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a large skillet and sauté onions and garlic until onions are translucent.

Step 3

Add peppers and sauté for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add tomatoes, water, and bouillon and laurel leaf. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Add sausage and cook for 20 minutes.

Very good which we served over egg noodles. I didn't have vegetable bouillion so subbed beef bouillion but otherwise made as directed. Easy and good! Thanks for sharing!

This was so delicious!...I useed homemade Italian sausage ...I cut the peppers in large strips and used some orange peppers too...I should have used green because the orange just blended in...the only other change that I made was to us a Chicken bouillon cube...my tummy is happy...made for "Bill Board" tag game...

Very tasty! I like the lighter broth it is in as opposed to a more spaghetti-like sauce. I did serve this over a type of cavatappi pasta. Simple to make and delicious. Thanks for sharing!

Loved the recipe. I used hot Italian sausages. One thing I did different after boiling the sausages I browned them along with the onions & garlic, then added the remaining ingredients as instructed. I always like to boil sausages first. I prick them a few times to allow the fat to run out. I was glad to see you doing this in the recipe. This recipe will be made again for sure.
