"This one came from a friend on a website I used to moderate, and over time I've tweaked it to suit our taste. If it seems thick, you can add milk 1 tablespoon at a time to thin. Pictures show the sauce with some chopped imitation crabmeat served over whole wheat rotini."

Step 1
Saute bacon until starting to crisp, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
Step 3
Add soup, sour cream and pepper and stir until creamy.
Step 4
Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Serve over your favourite pasta or vegetables. Very good with some cooked chicken, shrimp or crab (add with with the soup and sour cream before simmering).
