Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the slice of cheese to a 6 inch skillet. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Step 2

Top with pesto and grape tomatoes.

Step 3

Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese has completely melted and cherry tomatoes blister.

Step 4

Broil the top for 1-2 minutes until brown and bubbly.

Step 5

Serve immediately with crostini.

When you said "serve immediately", you meant it! This delicious appetizer stiffens up very quickly, so you have to eat fast while it's still mouth-burning hot! Make sure you use a cast iron mini-skillet to preserve the warmth as long as possible! Loved the pesto on this, and it was delicious on some flatbread crackers. Thanks for sharing, Mike!
