"A simple dish from A Taste of the Good Life that my family enjoyed. I'm not sure what the purpose of soaking the bacon in the wine is (we couldn't tell any difference), but we enjoyed it. :)"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place bacon in a bowl and cover with wine and onions.

Step 2

Let stand for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Drain and reserve wine.

Step 4

Lightly season pork chops and dredge in flour.

Step 5

Heat butter and fry chops over moderate heat for 6 to 7 minutes per side. Add bacon and onions. Continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 6

Add the cream and the reserved wine and simmer for 10 to 12

Step 7

Minutes.

Step 8

Remove chops to a warm serving platter.

Step 9

Slightly reduce the sauce, add mustard and parsley.

Step 10

Adjust seasonings and spoon sauce over chops.
