"A friend of mine made these for us for dinner a while back...she finally gave me the recipe...these make a perfect side dish...and are company worthy...she didn't really give me any measurement except for the amount of potatoes."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Step 2

Melt butter and pour into a 9X13 inch pan and spread evenly across the bottom.

Step 3

Generously sprinkle Parmesan cheese and lightly sprinkle other seasonings all over the butter.

Step 4

Place potato halves face down on the butter and seasonings.

Step 5

Place in preheated oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.

Step 6

Cool for at least a FULL 5 minutes before removing from the pan, otherwise the Parmesan crust won't stick to the potato.

Step 7

Serve on a plate with a side of sour cream for dipping.

We loved this! The potatoes were soft and fluffy inside, with a nice crust on the outside. We will definitely be making these again. So easy too!

Ten stars! Wow, are these good or what? We just loved how the parmesan crisped up on the potatoes - like magic! So tasty. Served with sour cream, but didn't really need it. The baking time was spot on. These tasty potatoes are now on my rotation, and the recipe is going straight into my Best of 2023 list! Made for play in For Your Consideration tag game at Food Friends & Fun. Thanks for posting!

These came out crispy and flavorful and were beautiful to serve... the kids didn't want sour cream, they dipped these in ketchup, like giant oven fries. Very well received. I followed the recipe exactly as written and the crust caramelized gorgeously and the potatoes were fluffy and tender inside.

We enjoyed these potatoes, made as directed except I only used 4 potatoes. I used sour cream on mine while everyone else added some butter. Thanks for sharing!
