Step by Step Method

Step 1

Run the salmon under cold water and pat dry with paper towels, set aside.

Step 2

In a large oven-proof baking dish add 3 tablespoons of olive oil and place the salmon in the dish.

Step 3

Sprinkle the salmon with the remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil.

Step 4

Add in this order. The lemon juice, black pepper, kosher salt, dried parsley and lemon slices. Add the 3 teaspoons of butter if using.

Step 5

Cover with foil and bake in a preheated 350% oven for 45 minutes or until cooked through and tender.

Step 6

Serve with long grained rice and steamed asparagus.

Made this following the recipe, then slapped it on my grill and cooked it for about 10 minutes without flipping the fish. It was delicious and so moist, pink in the middle and we ate every last bit between the two of us!

I baked 2 - 5 ounce fillets, cut back on the oil and didn't use any butter. The salmon was moist and delicious. They were East coast wild salmon Thanks Tink for a lovely dinner
