"Sweet glazed carrots are a great addition to the holiday table or any time you want to add a special side dish to make for that added touch. This recipe is from my daughters collection and the one her young son choose for the cookbook created and published as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of our local school. We love these delicious and easy to make glazed carrots, a family favourite and a given at holiday time and family gatherings."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Prepare and chunk carrots into pot, add water to cover

Step 2

Over medium heat bring carrots to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minute or until done, taking care not to over cook

Step 3

Drain, add butter, sugar, salt, and nutmeg (optional) Return to burner to heat, stirring constantly until carrots are glazed.

This are quick and easy to prepare...and tasty...I cut the recipe down to serve two of us...and I replaced the sugar with splenda...worked great...loved the sweetness of this time I think I'll try it with the nutmeg...made for Billboard tag game...
