"Such a basic recipe, but so good. A little honey balances out the orange and fresh parsley, just makes this such a nice side dish."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Carrots ... In a medium saute pan (not a pot), add the carrots and enough water just to cover about 1/2" deep water in the pan. You don't want to completely cover the carrots. Bring to a light boil and then reduce to medium heat. Cover and cook 7-10 minutes until the carrots are tender. This will depend on the thickness of your carrots and the size of your pan.

Step 2

Sauce ... Uncover and drain any extra water out. Add the butter, honey, orange, and cayenne to the carrots and mix to combine. Stir in the parsley, salt and pepper and they are ready to serve. ENJOY!

I had these for Thanksgiving because everyone in my family loves carrots. They especially loved them made this way, so sweet delicious, and we loved the flavor from the cayenne. I only had about 2 teaspoons left at the end of the meal!

I didn't add the cayenne so my daughter could have some, but the carrots were still delicious! We had them with pork tenderloins that I baked with some Russet potatoes. Such a fine meal!
