Lemon Glazed Carrots

"This makes a perfect side dish for a Turkey dinner. It's the ONLY way I can get my in-laws to eat carrots. I prefer to steam the carrots, but you can boil them if you don't have a steamer. You can also slice regular carrots if you don't have baby carrots. If you don't have a lemon zester tool, you can use the fine side of a grater."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Steam or boil carrots 35-45 minutes.

Step 2

Melt butter and mix in pepper, sugar and lemon zest.

Step 3

Keep warm and stir 3-5 minutes or until sugar dissolves.

Step 4

Pour over carrots and serve.


No special items needed.

These carrots are so delicious! My family loved them with our ham for New Years day. I made sure I didn't overcook them, as I have a habit of doing that. Following the recipe they came out just right for us at 35 minutes!

These are so easy and they go so well with just about any kind of meat, fish or poultry. I am making them for Easter to have with ham and a few other sides. They really add something special to our meals and my family loves them!

Good side dishes are hard to come by if you want added flavor and better taste than plain old veggies. These carrots are deelicious!
