"Adapted from Dom DeLuise. Dom suggests serving this with a green salad as a light lunch, but I think they make better appetizers. Could be a side dish as well."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Remove stems from mushrooms and set caps aside.
Step 3
Mince mushroom stems.
Step 4
Heat oil in a skillet and saute onion, garlic, mushroom stems and 1 cup of the bread crumbs.
Step 5
Remove from heat.
Step 6
Add crab meat, sprinkle with pepper, and mix well.
Step 7
Stuff mushroom caps with mixture.
Step 8
Place in a casserole dish.
Step 9
Top with remaining bread crumbs and the cheese.
Step 10
Bake for 20 minutes.
