The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound mushrooms (fresh, large mushrooms)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 yellow onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs (seasoned)
  • 900 grams crab meat (2 cups)
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2: Remove stems from mushrooms and set caps aside.

  • Step 3: Mince mushroom stems.

  • Step 4: Heat oil in a skillet and saute onion, garlic, mushroom stems and 1 cup of the bread crumbs.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat.

  • Step 6: Add crab meat, sprinkle with pepper, and mix well.

  • Step 7: Stuff mushroom caps with mixture.

  • Step 8: Place in a casserole dish.

  • Step 9: Top with remaining bread crumbs and the cheese.

  • Step 10: Bake for 20 minutes.
