Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2: Remove stems from mushrooms and set caps aside.
Step 3: Mince mushroom stems.
Step 4: Heat oil in a skillet and saute onion, garlic, mushroom stems and 1 cup of the bread crumbs.
Step 5: Remove from heat.
Step 6: Add crab meat, sprinkle with pepper, and mix well.
Step 7: Stuff mushroom caps with mixture.
Step 8: Place in a casserole dish.
Step 9: Top with remaining bread crumbs and the cheese.
Step 10: Bake for 20 minutes.
