Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place the sugar, cinnamon, half the mint and 150ml of soda water in a saucepan over high het and bring to the boil, let it bubble away, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 2

Reduce the heat and let the liquid simmer for 5 minutes, then take it off the heat and leave to cool, before straining it into a large glass jug.

Step 3

Pop the fruit and remaining mint into the jug with a handful of ice cubes.

Step 4

Pour in the wine, top it up with soda water, then serve.

Great sangria, Pat! And that syrup - there are no words to describe. Well yes, it's the kind of syrup you want to have in your fridge at all times! The combo of the fruits was fantastic. This is such a great refreshing drink - thanks for sharing with us!

I have no words expect FANTASTIC! I made and serve this at a small barbecue get together, doubled ingredients, we so enjoyed this drink, I can't wait to make it again, thank very much ImPat!
