Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cook macaroni as directed on package. Drain. Return macaroni to saucepan.

Step 2

Add Velveeta and ham to macaroni. Over low heat, stir until Velveeta is melted. Add milk for a thinner sauce.

Step 3

In skillet or microwave, cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel and crumble.

Step 4

Place mac n cheese mixture into greased casserole dish. You may use either a shallow or deep casserole dish depending on whether you like lots of browned top or a deep, gooey casserole. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over top.

Step 5

Bake at 350 degrees 15-25 minutes or until bubbly and tops begins to brown. Time is going to vary depending on if your casserole is deep or shallow and how brown you want the top.

I didn't add the bacon, because there was enough meat in there with the ham, and I added a little dry mustard, but otherwise made the same. It was a creamy cheesy casserole and one that will be repeated!
