This was quite a treat for us, because we don't usually find good quality Gouda cheese at our local market. So I purchased two packages and used the first one to make this recipe. The Holland Cheese Chicken Rolls were exceptionally delicious. I purchased chicken breasts and cut them in half and pounded both halves to 1/4-inch thickness as specified in the recipe, and the pounding it thin turned out to be necessary so the sides could be folded in (as the recipe states to do). Otherwise, the sides would have had a gap, and the cheese would have oozed out during the frying process as it slowly melted under the heat. And the cheese is what makes this so creamy smooth, moist and quite delicious, so I didn't want to lose a single bit of the Gouda. Thanks, lazyme. We loved it!

These are wonderful and my family loved them. Instead of pounding the chicken we purchased very thinly sliced chicken breasts using gouda cheese and canola oil for frying. Delicious and easy too! Thanks for sharing!
