Grilled Italian Cheesy Tomatoes

"A friend gave us a recipe for some Grilled Tomatoes, I teweaked it a little and came up with this. It's pretty good."

Step 1

In a frying pan, brown garlic in the olive oil.

Step 2

Cut tomatoes in half and put cut side up on a plate or flat pan

Step 3

Brush the olive oil over tomatoes then sprinkle with garlic.

Step 4

Sprinkle Italian seasoning and salt and pepper on them

Step 5

Sprinkle Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on and put directly on grill cheesy side up

Step 6

Grill until tomatoes are soft and char coaled and cheese is thoroughly melted.

Tips & Variations

No special items needed.



I think I made these backwards as I grilled them skin side down and filled the tomato with the ingredients, but they turned out yummy, lol. I used a mix of mozza and cheddar along with the parm.

These are really good! I made them when I was grilling out, and we had them with marinated steaks and twice baked potatoes.
