"Not sure why this is called "French" filling , maybe cus of the sour cream and the dijon mustard, regardless it is very tasty with the tarragon, can be used for sandwiches or on crackers for an appetizer."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Whisk together the sour cream, mustard,tarragon, salt and pepper. Add the canned salmon and mix thoroughly.

Simple, tasty, economical appetizer. I was very pleased with the results of this recipe. I cut it in half with no problem and subbed Greek Yogurt for the sour cream I used cranberry Dare Crackers as the base.

I made this recipe on 8/28/13 for two events,the "Summer Vacation Tour" in the Games forum and " Leftovers " Event in the Food Photo Forum. I had a 4 ounce patty leftover from Puggs's Simple and Good Salmon Patties, and was looking for a way to use it. And this recipe sure fit the bill. :) I thought I had sour cream and didn't,so a bit of French Onion Dip was used.The amount of tarragon was kept the same. I've never found a Salmon "Salad" that I really liked,but this one is just WOW !!!! Thanks for posting a recipe that I'm certainly going to make again. " Keep Smiling :) "

I love "-salad" sandwiches for lunch. Egg, tuna, ham, chicken, roast beef, you name it! I made this with a convenient packet of salmon that made just 1 sandwich - thanks for the recipe. Really enjoyed it.
