"Lamb with oregano mint & yogurt - add some other condiments and you have a great burger. This burger is one of Canadian Living's magazine top 5 lamb burgers and it deserves it! To add some crunch to the burger chop some cucumber & tomato & place in the bottom of the pita. There are some modifications by me to the original recipe."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine the yogurt and mint, set aside

Step 2

In a bowl beat the egg and water together

Step 3

Stir in bread crumbs, onion, garlic, vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper,and oregano

Step 4

Combine this mixture with the ground lamb

Step 5

Make four 1/2 inch patties

Step 6

Over medium high heat in a non stick skillet cook the patties approx 6 minutes each side or until cooked to your likeing

Step 7

Cut the top 1/3 off each pita, invert and place it in the bottom of the pita

Step 8

If using cuke & tomato divide between the 4 pitas

Step 9

Paint the burgers with the mint yogurt

Step 10

Place a burger in each pita,

Step 11

Sprinkle with the feta cheese and olives

Very easy and good! Served with sliced tomatoes. We skipped the cucumber and olives but otherwise made as directed. Thanks for sharing!
