Step by Step Method

Step 1

Bring the broth, pepper and butter to a boil in a medium-sized pot.

Step 2

Add the grits stirring with a whisk vigorously

Step 3

Reduce to a simmer.

Step 4

Cook the grits for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.

Step 5

Remove grits from heat and add Greek yogurt, parmesan and cheddar cheese.

Step 6

Stir in chives

I cut the recipe in half. I needed to add another cup of broth, but I used regular grits, not the quick cooking type, so maybe that was it. Only had dried chives and added those the the grits but used chopped green onions to garnish. Delicious!
